Manila, Philippines—GrayMatters Psychological Center successfully conducted a two-day Mental Health Awareness Talk at San Beda College on March 10 and 11, 2017. The event was attended by an enthusiastic crowd of senior high school students and their parents, eager to gain insights into the importance of mental well-being.
The sessions were led by Dr. Mary Grace S. Orquiza, a clinical psychologist, who provided valuable discussions on the mental health challenges faced by young adults, particularly during their crucial academic and personal development stages. Dr. Orquiza covered topics such as recognizing signs of mental health issues, stress management, and fostering open communication within families.
Through interactive activities and an open forum, the attendees actively participated, raising questions and sharing experiences that deepened their understanding of mental health. Parents expressed gratitude for the practical strategies provided to support their children, while students appreciated the safe space to voice their concerns.
This event is part of GrayMatters’ ongoing commitment to promoting mental health awareness and empowering individuals to take proactive steps toward emotional resilience.
