On December 16, 2024, GrayMatters Psychological and Consultancy, contracted by the St. Scholastica’s College-Westgrove Parents’ Association, facilitated a seminar titled “Parenting with Presence: Fostering Connection and Support in Middle Childhood.” The event, led by Dr. Mary Grace S. Orquiza, psychologist and parenting advocate, was held at St. Scholastica’s College-Westgrove in Silang, Cavite, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
The seminar provided parents with valuable insights into attachment styles, the impact of parenting approaches, and the developmental needs of middle childhood. Dr. Orquiza addressed common challenges faced by parents and shared practical strategies for fostering empathy, connection, and effective communication to strengthen the parent-child relationship.
This collaboration highlighted the shared commitment to equipping parents with tools to nurture their children’s growth and emotional well-being.
